AAMTI XII: Cal Mock Trial’s 12th Annual Fall Invitational Tournament.
November 7-8, 2026
Mock Trial is an academic competition where students are given the opportunity to simulate trial advocacy. We are seeking qualified legal professionals to act as judges for this event. Collegiate Mock Trial provides a fantastic opportunity for students to grow trial advocacy skills, and our tournaments would not be possible without our wonderful judges!
Every year, UC Berkeley invites the most competitive Mock Trial teams to participate in high-level Mock Trial competitions. We have competitors of all genders, races, religions, orientations, and immigration statuses participating in our tournaments. Women in trial advocacy face a unique set of challenges, and this is a reality many of our competitors are already too aware of. Cal Mock Trial wants to prioritize recruiting judges who can serve as examples of successful women in the legal field, and provide opportunities for connection to the next generation of woman-identifying advocates. We want judges that reflect our diverse competitors, we want judges who have had unique experiences, judges that have had to navigate the legal field and intersectionality, we want judges like the members of the California Women Lawyers.
The judging opportunities at AAMTI XII are:
-
Saturday, November 7 8:30 am to 1:00 pm
-

To sign up as a judge for our 2026 tournament, please fill out this form listed on our website. It would mean the world to us if you could send out this opportunity to the members of your association or provide us with a list of emails we could use to send out information on this opportunity.
In addition to helping to create a more welcoming and meaningful environment for young prospective lawyers, AAMTI judges have been eligible for MCLE credit, including 1 hour of Recognition and Elimination of Bias for past tournaments. While we have been accepted in previous years, we cannot guarantee that we will be accepted this year, but we will continue to provide updates on the status of our MCLE credit! Judges are also welcome to stay for provided meals between rounds.
