Affiliates

CWL IS PROUD OF ITS AFFILIATES

CWL affiliates are womens' bar associations or sections or committees of bar associations whose primary goal is the advancement of the interests of women in the legal profession and in society.

The CWL affiliates are the foundation of CWL, and they help promote and support the goals, events, legislative programs, and judicial selection process involvement, all of which constitute the heart of CWL.

CWL permits affiliate organizations, upon application and meeting certain membership requirements, to have a voting Affiliate Governor on the CWL Board of Governors.

Sister Bar Associations are those bar associations that were not able to meet affiliate membership requirements but wished to remain a part of the CWL sisterhood as they continued to work on becoming full affiliates. Each Sister Bar Association sends a non-voting liaison to the CWL Board of Governor meetings.
