CWL Supports Same Sex Marriage Equality

CWL, along with Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom, held an MCLE featuring the documentary “Pursuit of Equality” chronicling the revolution over same-sex marriage in San Francisco, including behind-the-scenes footage of the reflections of Mayor Gavin Newsom and City Attorney Dennis Herrera. The film was followed by a discussion moderated by UC Hastings professor Elizabeth Hillman, with panelists Kevin Fong of Pillsbury, who co-wrote the Asian Pacific American organizations Amici brief in the California Supreme Court's Marriage cases, and Molly McKay, Media Director of Marriage Equality USA, Gordon & Rees. Proceeds benefited Marriage Equality, Inc., whose mission is civil marriage equality for all without regard to gender identity or sexual orientation.
